This policy describes what Crypto Wallet Basics collects when you read the site or send a message. It applies to cryptowalletbasics.com and www.cryptowalletbasics.com.

Who we are

The site is an editorial publication about crypto wallets. The contact address for privacy requests is the form on the Contact Us page, topic “Privacy request.”

What we collect

• If you only read pages, the server and our host may record a standard request log: IP address, user agent, the URL requested, and the time. We use those logs to operate and protect the site.
• If you submit the contact form, we store the name, email address, topic, message, and optional page URL you entered. We store them to read and respond to the enquiry.
• The form sets a short-lived rate-limit marker so one visitor cannot flood the inbox. A security cookie or nonce may be set so the form can be checked.

What we do not do

We do not ask for seed phrases, private keys, identity documents, or wallet passwords. Do not include them in a message. We do not sell contact-form submissions. We do not use the form to subscribe you to a mailing list.

How long we keep messages

Reader messages are deleted on a schedule about 180 days after they are stored, unless we still need a specific message for a privacy, security, or legal request.

Your requests

You can ask us to provide or delete the contact-form record associated with your email. Send the request from that email address through the contact form so we can match it. We may keep a minimal record of the request itself.
